Bone regeneration is the general term used to describe bone re-growth. This procedure regenerates bone in areas where it is needed. This is typically performed before bridge or implant procedures to replace missing bone. The regeneration occurs through placing bone grafts biocompatible membranes on the missing bone area in order to keep out tissue to allow bone growth, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation.
1:2 After cleaning, a special membrane is inserted between the gum and bone.
2:2 The membrane blocks unwanted tissue, allowing ligament fibers and bone to grow. Once strong ligament fibers attach root to the bone, the membrane dissolves or is removed.
